Looks like a standard Frontier Silicon device, these were available under a load of brand names at the time, Henley Audio in the UK sold a range of these under the Sansui brand among others - I have a micro hifi version and a full-size component, and have seen the radio - they're all much the same design inside. They're well made but as they age the amplifier tends to get noisy due to substandard Chinese capacitors. It's the usual story - good design let down by rampant penny-pinching.

Chris you've taken a strong set of basic skills and are punching way above your weight in electronics repair. Really well done repair on what is still quite a valuable piece of electronics.

Nice repair. It's always a good feeling making something work again. Even better when any parts needed come out of existing stock.

Just an FYI, Coffee beans, used grounds and brewed coffee contain caffeine, a very dangerous and toxic chemical to cats and dogs. Ingestion can be life threatening. According to the Pet Poison Helpline, a moderate amount of coffee can easily cause death in small dogs or cats.

Grats on clearing some space... The motherboard might have to run through it's self-checks before it lets the video card power up... the error code displayed might reveal the problem. But that's for it's new owner to research. Having a working test bench, to test out cards is probably the best way to isolate and locate the fault.

Great video Chris, the large lids look like they would cover a fry pan ...so that's a plus. The small B&S tank would clean up good for eBay.

I think the video card needs drivers which would have been on a hard drive if it had one. And the CMOS battery is probably flat, so boot up and video on the screen might not work anyway?

Quite a variety today. Quite interesting stuff. Although, as a drummer myself, I think used drum sticks don't carry much value...

Good to hear from you Chris, that was another good varied bunch of gear and not a bad potential return considering, I remember those video cards they were quite popular at the time ! Where else but your shop would you find a selection of pan lids to replace your missing or broken one ? Perhaps you should attach a few saucepan lids to your Cymbal stands, although I'm not sure how well aluminium sounds ! 😉

The stand with the pedal is for the Hi hats Chris. And the other two looked more like cymbal stands than microphone stands.

Yeah, used same scouring pad on pidgeon crap on outside house window, and its scratchy stuff. Left permanent mark. Also dont put anything cept soapy rag on any screens,crt,lcd or led.
